This book actually closes the circle, as we’re briefly introduced to Ennio as a side character in the first book – then he’s hardly ever mentioned after that. Personally I was wondering why the focus on him only to forget about him, while Marnin is a key part of the friend group through the whole series?
But seeing how these to compliment each other perfectly, it should have been obvious form the start.
